Sample Lesson Itinerary
First 30 minutes:
- We'll watch the ocean and waves together and talk about ocean safety.
- We'll teach you how to paddle and position yourself on your soft-top board (we have a unique way to help you to do this).
- We'll teach you to start reading the waves
Next hour:
- We will get you out in the ocean and help you learn to stand up.
- Talk with you about the world of surfing and some basic surfing rules.
- We'll be happy to answer any of your questions.
Enjoy free time to use our board and practice on your own (30 minutes approximately).

Hanalei Pier (Black Pot Beach Park) has restrooms, showers and nice picnic areas. This park is right next to the Hanalei River. We will be located at the best surf spot, for the season, at Hanalei Bay.
