This picturesque fern-fringed cave is only accessible by a leisurely ride up the Wailua River. The dewy emerald grotto, complete with the soft strains of Hawaiian music, creates an alluring setting for weddings (admission included).
Russian Fort
The Russian Fort was built in 1816 by George Scheffer to aide Kaui's King Kaumuali'i in his effort to reclaim the Island of Kaui from King Kamehameha, who had been recently declared the King of Hawaii . King Kaumuali'i thought that he could reclaim his kingdom from King Kamehameha if he had the help of Russia. Kaumuali'i failed in his attempt, and Scheffer went into exile, but the remnants of the Russian Fort are still entact. Visit the site of an exciting moment in Kaui's history.

We really enjoyed the tour. Got to see a lot in one day and did not have to drive. Our driver was wonderful. It was a long day but worth it.

Well worth the time. It was obvious that our tour guide loves her job. She was enthusiastic, funny, and was always offering to take photos of us at the stops. It was interesting to see how many 'countries' and other locations Kauai was used to portray.

This was the best guide/driver I have ever had, and I have traveled all over the world. She was knowledgeable, pleasant and good-humored. It was a long, adventure-filled trip, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see Kauai's highlights all in one day. It was a terrific value for the price.

The bus driver/tour guide was great! Though, we thought we were going to Fern Grotto, but we were not told that it was closed. Otherwise, great tour and I would use them again.
